This page holds information about the catnews.cc website and our plans for it. Slightly technical.

catnews.cc is hosted on Netlify. All content is manually updated and developed by the CATNews team (including website design etc.) with the exceptions of ElementCSS and highlight.js, both for better formatting, which we are very appreciative for. There are also some remnants of PACE in all html pages which we do not use anymore but we are still crediting the devs until we can be bothered to remove it properly.

Domain provided by Cloudflare.

Changes so far:

• 2025-03-04: Remove comments as they were not used and to slightly speed up loading. Add RSS feed. Add meta page. Update Q&A.

Changes to-do:

• Add more info to RSS feed, improve accessibility
• Update images to be higher quality, probably not happening for a while
• Improve experience on mobile, specifically scaling of images and video
• Possibly slightly redesign website, decrease padding (also improves readability on mobile?)
